Tsk, tsk, tsk (tongue-clicking is out of date, but I'm not up on current Beachy expressions of concern).
For a long time now I've noticed a trend, drift, or whatever, in Beachy circles. You know, like the Israelites who were tired of judges and asked the prophet Samuel for a king like other nations had.

Half a century past, "The Young Folks" sang at nursing homes, hospitals, and neighboring churches. Later that evolved (pardon my use of that word) into "Our Young People" and "The Youth Chorus." Now your letter writer says she/he is a member of "the choir, " a term I note with increasing frequency among the Beachys

To what will this eventually lead? A Symphony Orchestra or Pops Ensemble?
Ei, yei, yei, yei!
