voting
Wow. I must admit i am amazed once again when i see candidates gearing up for election. now before i begin on my rant, let me again say that i do not vote, unlike those liberal BMA people, and especially not CMC or [horrors] Lancaster Conference. I am not a citizen of this world, I am seeking a better country (cmon…just forget about the US citizenship hidden under the bed). That’s why I don’t vote.
I was really disturbed this last election when Democrats got both houses of Congress. I guess it just shows the signs of the times, when voters refuse to vote on issues that really matter, like national security, and just vote for healthcare, women’s rights, and gay’s rights. I am really praying that a godly candidate like Mitt Romney gets elected in 2008, so that God can turn our country around again. Wait…did somebody just say he’s Mormon? What is that? I heard it’s something like Mennonites…just a little more liberal. But they respect traditionalism and uniformity…they sound like the Beachy dream guy. Better get on my knees and start praying he gets elected. So’s my thoughts.
Let’s not even talk about Hillary. She should be a homemaker, taking care of her kids and her sinful hubby…not out trying to usurp men’s jobs. She should submit herself to men.
But then again, Barack Obama is just as bad. I think his parents are Moslems, a hideously atheist religion. And he’s black. Now, i don’t have anything against blacks, of course I don’t. I’m not racist. Still, wouldn’t it feel a little weird to have a black guy being President?
Yes sir, God is reviving the Republican party. Their new focus on family, traditional life, all of it. I’m convinced God is working in a big way.
But I don’t vote.

I found your post on the internet and was very dismayed to read what you have written. As a member of a BMA church, I am very concerned that you view us as liberal. I personally know more Beachys who vote than I do BMA’ers! Perhaps you should look within to criticize before lashing out so mean-spiritedly at other conferences. Did you know it’s possible to quench the Spirit with a blog post? It is.

Actually, I take it all back. You’re right, we are liberal. After being led in worship by a 3-piece band last Sunday morning, I’m about ready to start attending the Beachy church just down the road.

I’m glad you’re finally able to post again.
It’s good for us Beachys to stop taking ourselves too seriously.

You Beachys are da bomb! I’m still glad I’m almost BMA. At least I will be when I register to vote. Anyone know the official party?
