The radio
Beachy’s have long been on record for not listening to the radio. In case you think that’s stupid, hear me out.
1. There really is some stuff on the radio that is not fit to hear. I know, I know, you can listen to really cool guys like Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh, but there is some stuff that is not fit. Take country music for example. You hear alot of that. And in most Beachy’s church standards, it says you’re not allowed to listen to country. There’s reason number one.
2. Reason number two is, you have no control over what you’re listening to. For instance, say you’re listening the the good Rush Limbaugh show. Suddenly an ad comes on that has bad music on it. What do you do? Also, you may just randomly be surfing the channels, and start listening to music you might not listen to usually. And the music might be bad.
But oh well. Enough preaching. I just wanted to show you why radio (unlike internet) is bad. Because on internet you can control exactly what you see and where you see it.
Oh and by the way. Speaking of internet, I have seen some really cool Xanga sites lately. Xanga sites are what Beachy teens live on when they’re not at CBS. It’s pretty cool, like you can go to one site, and then from there you can keep clicking on links and moving from site to site. Another thing that is cool is that alot of them have music. What’s so cool about it is, you don’t have to start it or anything. As soon as you get to that site, the music just starts playing. That way, you get to listen to music you might not listen to usually. What a great place to expand your horizons!
Good day everyone!
